Premier Addiction & Mental Health Partial Hospitalization Treatment

At Sunrise Recovery Ranch, we understand that not every adult needs the 24-hour care inpatient treatment provides. Our PHP offers a more flexible therapy schedule but is still more intensive than traditional outpatient services and our intensive outpatient program (IOP).  

In our PHP, adults can receive treatment for addictions to a range of substances, including alcohol, opioids, heroin, and marijuana. We understand that substance use disorders often co-occur with other mental health concerns. We incorporate treatment for mental health disorders on a co-occurring basis to ensure complete wellness. Examples of co-occurring mental health concerns we treat include anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, trauma, and eating disorders.  

Our PHP offers personalized, gender-specific care to address each adult’s unique concerns and goals. In our PHP, adults benefit from the following: 

• Detoxification services 
• Basic medical care 
• Medication management  
• Individual therapy 
• Group therapy 
• Family therapy  
• Experiential therapy 

Our PHP incorporates a variety of treatment methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and the 12-Step recovery model.  

A key component of our PHP is group therapy. Group therapy sessions allow adults to practice healthy communication and share their struggles with substance use with others who can relate. Group therapy sessions address topics such as breathwork, codependency, nutrition, trauma, and relapse prevention.  

The number of hours of PHP therapy adults attend each week depends on their specific needs and concerns. The typical length of stay in our PHP is about 30-90 days, but this may vary.  

At Sunrise Recovery Ranch, we have a streamlined admissions process to ensure that you receive the substance use disorder care you need without delay. Our admissions process helps us gain a better understanding of each adult’s needs, concerns, and goals for treatment to determine if our treatment center is a good fit. 

For admission to our PHP, individuals must meet the following criteria: 

• Adult age 18 or older 

• Have a primary substance use disorder diagnosis 
• May have co-occurring mental health concerns on a secondary basis only 
• Must not require 24-hour care 
• Requires more intensive therapy than our IOP or traditional outpatient services provide 

Our admissions team can help determine if the PHP at Sunrise Recovery Ranch is a good fit for your treatment needs. If we determine that a different treatment center or level of care might be more beneficial, we will make the appropriate referral.  

Once we establish that the PHP is the appropriate level of care for you, our team will collaborate with you on the development of your customized treatment plan, including the number of therapy hours during your week, what substance use disorder services will be provided, and the steps you will take after completing the program.  

Aftercare planning is an essential part of your treatment with us. We understand that substance use disorder recovery is a process that will continue long after you complete the PHP. During admissions, your care team will begin working on your aftercare plan and continue to update it throughout your time in our PHP. Your aftercare plan may include admission to a different level of care, referrals to traditional outpatient services, support groups, and other resources to promote long-term recovery and wellness.
