When a person has become dependent upon heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, alcohol, or another substance, cessation of use can be accompanied by a variety of unpleasant and potentially dangerous symptoms. At Sunrise Ranch in Riverside, CA, we provide a medically monitored detox program where clients can safely rid their bodies of drugs and/or alcohol with minimal discomfort. In our detox program, members of our nursing staff provide around-the-clock care and monitoring, and all clients will be seen by the doctor within 48 hours of admission. The detox process will vary from client to client, but, in general, the entire detox treatment program will be over within a few days, after which the client can transition directly into our residential treatment program.

Women’s Program at The Ranch

At Sunrise Ranch, we understand that drug and alcohol addiction and recovery pose unique challenges for women, and we have developed specific treatment programming to address the needs of our female clients. The gender-specific groups and activities of our Women’s Program are designed to provide a safe and supportive environment in which to address the issues that women commonly experience during early recovery. Issues that may be addressed within the Women’s Program alongside alcohol and drug abuse may include domestic violence, parenting issues, codependency, conflict resolution, and anger management. Group activities within the Women’s Program are led by experienced professionals who have been specially trained to help women process the experiences that contributed to the development of their substance abuse disorder, as well as to guide them in the development of healthy coping and relapse-prevention skills.

Men’s Program at The Ranch

As is also the case with the Women’s Program, the Men’s Program at Sunrise Ranch in Riverside, California provides a structured and supportive environment in which male clients may address and process issues that they may find difficult or impossible to discuss in the presence of members of the opposite sex. The groups and other therapeutic activities that take place within the Men’s Program are designed to complement the services that male clients receive during our mixed-gender general treatment programming. Issues addressed in the Men’s Program alongside drug and alcohol abuse may include anger management, conflict resolution, and family issues. Our highly skilled staff members, many of whom are in recovery themselves, can share their special insights into the healing process. Working as a team, they create an environment in which residents begin to understand, address and recover from a wide range of personal issues that have been affected by their substance abuse addictions, including family and social relationships, work, health, and spirituality.
